Plot Synopsis : Two young slackers (Chang-Sik & Mi-Yeong)struggle through their daily lives. Chang-Sik, even though he graduated from a prestigious university as a psychology major, is unemployed and drifts through life with apathy. He still lives with his brother and sister-in-law and is constantly berated by his sister-in-law for being a deadbeat. Chang-Sik spends his days losing money at the horse tracks or takes his nephew for lunch at the local grocery store (for the free samples).
Mi-Yeong, unlike her successful sister (who is a host on a home shopping network tv show), idles her time away at the counter of her mother’s video rental shop. She is always told by her mother, that she is not her true daughter but was adopted.
One evening these slackers meet near their neighborhood by chance and witness a fatal hit and run accident. Soon afterwards their fortunes seem to finally change when they see a sign offering a reward ($50,000) for anyone that witnessed the hit and run accident. Of course with their luck, things are not quite what they appear and they soon learn that the hit and run was not an accident, but a hit planned by a criminal ring that also is behind the $50,000 reward.
Movie Review : This film is loosely based on Charles Dicken’s classic novel “Great Expectations,” and is a very fun no-brainer type of comedy that will have you laughing throughout the film. The scene where Mi-Yeong is taken by Chang-Sik to a rich benefactor, under the false belief that Mi-Yeong could have been the rich benefactor’s long lost sibling was absolutely hilarious. Umm…could relate a tad bit with Changsik’s character as well. Seon-a Kim who played Mi-Yeong and Chang Jung Lim who played Chang-Sik were both absolutely great in their roles as odd-ball slackers. If your able to find the DVD, it does come with a great second DVD of bonus materials and (…drumroll) a free The Greatest Expectation Planner Book!

Adding ram to your computer, then your computer locks up…

I multi-task quite a bit and figured doubling the memory from 1 GB to 2 GB would help my computer keep up when I have a multitude of programs running. The computer consists of a DFI Nfinity motherboard and had a single 1 GB memory stick of Corsair (VS1GB400C3) memory. I played it safe by ordering the identical memory stick and figured it would be as easy as placing it in the dual channel memory slot in the DFI motherboard, then would be ready to go. It wasn’t quite that easy, but with a few simple steps the computer now flies with as many applications as I care to leave running in the background.
All the memory settings in the bios of my motherboard were set to default/auto. After installing the second stick of memory, I turned on the computer and noticed that the boot screen correctly displayed the 2 gigs of memory. I thought, “easy as pie” and booted happily into my Linux Desktop.
After only a few minutes the computer locked up completely and I was only able to to restart the computer by unplugging the power cable.

eBay Express

Ebay, not content being the largest online auction house on the planet, has decided to open a new eBay Express web page. The novelty of the website is that they are now a direct competitor to the likes of Amazon. All items seem to be new and have a fixed price. One of the more appealing features of eBay Express is that you can purchase items from multiple sellers, place it in your shopping cart and pay for it all at one time. While the website is nothing revolutionary, it does have a clean interface and is not as cluttered as Amazon these days. Also, the sellers on eBay Express seem to include only the top sellers from the regular eBay site (not as likely to get a pirated dvd or a counterfeit designer bag).
