Tae-woong Eom asks where is my “Handphone”?

Tae-woong Eom will next appear in the upcoming South Korean film “Handphone.” His co-stars will be Yong-woo Park (Once Upon A Time / Beautiful Sunday / My Scary Girl) and Sol-Mi Park (Paradise Murdered/ MBC’s “My Woman“).
In “Handphone,” Tae-woong Eom plays Seung-min, the president of an entertainment company. With his busy schedule, his life revolves his handphone (common Korean term for “cellphone”) and that is the one item that he can’t live without. Unfortunately for Seung-min he loses his handphone! The movie then centers on his quest to find his handphone. Meanwhile, an unnamed man played by Yong-woo Park is the person who has recovered his handphone.
“Handphone” began filming September 29th, 2009 in the upscale area of Seoul known as Apgujeong. The movie will be directed by Han-min Kim (previously directed “Paradise Murdered”).

Jin-hee Ji stars in “Parallel Life”

Jin-hee Ji, popular actor of such films as “Soo,” “The Old Garden” and “Bewitching Attraction” will star in the upcoming South Korean film “Parallel Life.” His co-star will be Jong-hyeok Lee (Crush and Blush, Radio Days, Miss Gold Digger).
Jin-hee Ji will play a junior judge that experiences mystifying events. His life seems to follow the fate of another judge who lived some 30 years ago. Also, his wife died on the same day that the chief judge died. Meanwhile, Jin-hee Ki tracks a mysterious case that happens around him. Co-star Jong-hyeok Lee plays a rival district attorney.
“Parallel Life” begins filming at the end of October and is expected to be released sometime in 2009.

Jin-shil Choi found dead at home

In somber news, South Korean actress Jin-shil Choi was found dead in her home at 6:15 AM on October 2nd, 2008. Her mother found her in the bathroom hanging by an elastic band from the shower stall. Jin-shil Choi’s name was brought up in recent weeks via internet rumors that she loaned $2 million to actor Jae-hwan Ahn who took his own life in September 2008.
Jin-shil Choi was one of the more popular actresses in the 1990’s having appeared in such popular films as “Mister Mama” (1992), “I Wish for What Is Forbidden to Me” (1994), “Mom Has a Lover” (1995) and “Baby Sale” (1997). Jin-shil Choi has appeared more recently in television dramas such as MBC’s “The Last Scandal of My Life” and
MBC’s “Bad Woman, Good Woman.” Jin-shil Choi is survived by two children.
