Perhaps as a gesture to the common folks that has a heart that’s full up like a landfill and a job that slowly kills them or just a big fu to record labels, Radiohead has announced via their webpage that their new album “In Rainbows” is complete and will be available for digital download starting on October 10 directly from Radiohead’s website. Another interesting twist is that the band is offering the album with a name your own price pricing strategy. Visit their store fill in a price you feel is acceptable and you should recieve a confirmation email stating “You will receive a further e-mail shortly before the 10th October detailing your username and activation code. The e-mail will also provide the link to the download area.”

The band is also offering a physical package that should start shipping on Decemeber 3. The “discbox” for “In Rainbows” will include a two record set, a CD of “In Rainbow” as well an extra enhanced CD with extra tracks. The discbox will also come packaged in harback-book style. The cost is 40 pounds or roughly $81 USD.
